 David L.
Akins is a
CPA & MBA with over 30 years of accounting experience. David has
owned his own CPA firm and has acquired or merged several Accounting
Practices
into his firm before he sold it in 2005. He has a wide variety of
Accounting
and Tax experience in several different industries such as Health Care,
Manufacturing, Hotel/Motel, Restaurant, Retail and Small Business.
David is a
member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and on
the
Board of Directors of the Jacksonville Chapter.
Karen Brantley Akins is experienced in
the areas of accounting, retail and manufacturing. She is a
former co-owner of a local accounting firm that specialized
in small business accounting and consulting. This has provided
her with an understanding in a variety of business areas.
Previously she
was the controller of a local manufacturing firm. Ms. Akins
holds a BA degree from Berry College and is a licensed Real Estate
Sales Associate in the state of Florida. Karen is a native of
Jacksonville, Florida.
 Roger
Birong is
Principal of Birong Associates, LLC, a business valuation and business
management consulting practice located in Jacksonville,
Florida. He holds
a MBA and is a
Certified Business
Appraiser and a Certified Management Consultant and has provided
business
valuation, management consulting and intermediary services to the
owners and
shareholders of over 200 privately owned businesses since 1993. Roger
was a
principal of a middle market investment banking firm and has held
senior
management/officer positions with privately owned companies as well as
an
American Stock Exchange company and a New York Stock Exchange company.
 Larry
Blevins has
twenty years experience in financial planning, insurance and
investments.
He has purchased, operated and sold his own businesses.
Larry has
helped many new business owners realize their dreams of
owning their own business, as well as, helping existing business owners
to sell
their business due to retirement, health reasons, or other business
interests. Larry has been
very successful in completing transactions in
retail, restaurants, wholesale, service, health
related, and
construction
industries.
 Curt
Cavins has helped several
entrepreneurs start their own staffing companies as a franchisor, as
well as, starting his company. After selling
his staffing business with the help of Breckenridge Brokers, he decided
to get his Real
Estate
License and help other business owners sell their businesses or help
people buy
an existing business. His degree in Finance
helps to develop
business plans, valuate businesses and
estimate true owner benefit.
 Mark Enderle is a
CPA and a partner with
Stivers & Associates, PSC,
Mark is a trusted business advisory to a wide range of businesses and
business
owners. Formerly associated with Deloitte & Touche, and Dean,
Dorton
& Ford of
Lexington, Kentucky, there he was a tax consultant for a large
variety of businesses. He has been a corporate controller and treasurer
for a
natural gas
company. He also serves as an adjunct instructor of taxation and
accounting courses at Lexington Community College; he has
taught there for 13 years. Mark is a member of the American Institute
of
Certified Public Accountants, and both the Kentucky and the Ohio Society of Certified Public
Accountants.
 Doug James Has
18 years experience in sales/marketing managements for several custom
wholesale manufacturers. His business development efforts have
focused on National Retailers, Hotels and general contractors,
with a specialization in contract negotiation, product developments and
strategic market positioning. Doug has owned and operated his own
business in Central Kentucky.
 Lamar Lucas, Jr.
is a graduate
of the University of Florida
with a degree in
Finance. With over 17 years in
commercial banking, Lamar has extensive
knowledge of how to finance a new or existing business and how to
analyze
financial statements. He has owned and
operated his own business; growing a small
distribution company into a full fledged mechanical contracting
business with a division in
construction.
Daniel H. Miller, Attorney at Law:
Dan is a general practitioner with the Lexington law firm of Daniel H.

 Rae
Spengler
has her own family business, Spengler Industries, a consulting
enterprise including financial brokerage, data systems creation and
business operations and engineering. Ms. Spengler holds a B. A. degree
in Political Science and Business Administration from the University of
South Carolina along with graduate work in economics and finance and is
certified by the National Development Council as an Economic
Development Finance Professional. She also holds licenses as a
Mortgage Broker, Real Estate Sales Associate and Insurance
Broker.
